At Grooveshark, we believe everyone should have access to the music they love. In a world where free-flowing, all-you-can-experience content is the norm, we aim to provide a viable competitor to music piracy — giving fans the music they love and artists the compensation they deserve. We're here to help build careers for artists, and fix the music industry so that artists are the centerpiece of the music business of the future.

Our actions are driven by our desire for open music. We strive to remove barriers from the creation, distribution, and consumption of new music, for the benefit of both artists and fans. Open music is about creating a world in which the music industry progresses on the basis of openness, not control. It's about creating a frictionless path between the artist and the fan, and connecting people to music they would have otherwise never heard. • Flexible hours. Employees are allowed to make their own schedules based on their individual needs. Some of us prefer to keep normal workday hours, while others work early mornings or late nights. Many of us have classes, families, or other jobs, so we encourage you to make a work schedule that is in harmony with all of your priorities.

Where We Work

Grooveshark's main office is located in Gainesville, FL, with a smaller office in New York, NY.

At Grooveshark, we don't believe in cubicles, we believe in collaborative and open workspaces. This open environment allows ideas to flow seamlessly between individuals from every corner of the room, so you can engage with the people around you to implement powerful ideas and create beautiful products.

Both offices are designed to foster creativity and communication with open floorplans, plenty of couches and comfy spaces, and lots of breakout rooms for meetings. There are also many coffee houses, restaurants, and other local venues within walking distance for breaks or off-site meetings.
