Audio-Animatronic redneck bears playing improvised instruments carries some weight — when you’re four.

Hercules And Love Affair

I had a dream last week that Joaquin Phoenix and I did a choreographed dance at a discotheque in the 1970’s. There was a big circle around us cheering and afterwards Joaquin went to give me a low five and I pulled my hand away at the last second.
“Too slow, Joaquin!”

Good Call: Lykke Li (Column)

A good friend of mine is a dancer and recently asked me to watch a piece she was choreographing for school. The song the piece was choreographed to totally stole the show. It was “Time Flies” by Lykke Li (real name Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson). The song’s breathy singing and instrumentation piqued my interest, so I did a little research. Apparently I was the only person in the world who didn’t know about Lykke Li (pronounced lick-a-lee). If you don’t either, you should. I used to loathe girl singers, but I might just be a convert.
