Aerosmith’s video for “Crazy” was one of the most requested videos of 1994. Um, duh. The video marked Alicia Silverstone’s third appearance in videos for the band and the debut of Liv Tyler’s acting career. Funny enough, the casting directors chose Liv for the part after seeing a Pantene commercial she did, not knowing she was front man Steven Tyler’s daughter.
This video made waves for a really simple reason. It’s an age-old formula: Put two hot girls in a video, hint at them being lesbians, set it to a hair-band song and bingo bango, you’ve got a hit.
Everyone wants to watch the escapades of two Catholic schoolgirls on the loose. Liv and Alicia (maybe) making out in a photobooth, seducing a farmhand, and Stripping at amateur night? I wanna be friends with these girls.
