It looks like Da Brat spent Halloween living up to her nickname. The rapper was arrested early this morning after getting into an altercation at Jermaine Dupri’s nightclub Studio 72 outside Atlanta. Apparently, Brat and a waitress got into some sort of argument that resulted in physical pushing. After the pushing, the waitress walked away, but Brat wasn’t done yet. A short time later the rapper picked up a bottle of rum and hit the waitress in the face with it.
The source states the waitress had a deep laceration to her cheek and swelling in her forehead and was rushed to the hospital. Da Brat was arrested for aggravated assault, which is a felony, and is now residing in the Dekalb County jail. This is not the rapper’s first jaunt to the pokey. She was arrested in 2000 for pistol-whipping a woman for sitting in Brat’s VIP lounge. Man, this girl is hardcore!
As a follower of music news, I feel like all I ever read about anymore is musicians being arrested! I mean, come on people. How hard is it to not get in a fight at a waffle house (cough Kid Rock), not get someone in your entourage to attempt to illegally obtain you a gun (cough T.I.), or not beat a waitress with a bottle of Bacardi? I know I don’t have problems with any of those things! The moral of the story is if everyone could just keep their hands to themselves and obtain guns like every other 2nd amendment believing citizen, then maybe the world would be a better place.
