Opinions on this video range from, “This is the most disgusting blow against free speech I have seen in ages,” all the way to, “The kid got what he deserved.” We have decided to open up the discussion to you. Do you believe that what the officers did was justified? Do you think that the student went too far? Where should be draw the line between freedom of speech and disruption that warrants punitive actions?
Points of reference
- The student was given his three (allotted) minutes to talk, despite the fact that most of the videos start after this point.
- There seem to be quite a few officers there to take down a single disruptor.
- Apparently he was warned that he would be tazered if he didn’t calm down.
- Mr. Kerry did very little to try to stop this incident, given his position he could have probably done a lot more.

Hello Mr. Meyer,
Let me start by introducing myself. I went to school directly across the street from the Rodney King Trial. My friends and myself attacked the KKK representative that brought his own podium, microphone, 250 watt P.A. and mixing board with a 5 H.P. Honda generator to power it all, set up and stood in the middle of the courthouse steps and spoke for 9 hours while 113 police officers bearing full riot gear stood around him and protected him the entire time he spoke. Needless to say we were tasered and maced.
My friends and I were present in the courthouse when the officers that beat Rodney King were exonerated.
My friends and I were present in Los Angeles throughout the entire Los Angeles Revolution; I’m sorry riot (I must be politically correct here.)
We participated and observed the first real attempt at full scale American Revolution in hundreds of years.
So this is just a small taste of the background in which I approach you.
Knowing this; Please, I repeat PLEASE read this carefully.
YOU ARE THE TORCH BEARER.
Once every so many years God (or whatever energy in this universe that represents that which we choose to label God) chooses a single torch bearer. They do not come around to often and they are obviously coming in far greater intervals as we choose to ignore them more and more.
These torch bearers have the torch for a very limited time and usually (in the name of emotion, dramatics, fear and loss of momentum) drop the ball.
PLEASE DON’T DROP THE BALL ON THIS ONE MY FRIEND.
The whole world has it’s attention on you. I know this is a lot to ask and it is a ridiculously enormous responsibility to take on, but you started something must finish.
This may change the whole coarse of the world. People are watching you in small villages in Africa and in London, Paris, Moscow, Beijing.
You are the one.
That being said; you not only need the best JEWISH lawyer money (at least your money if not other peoples money; remind me to get into that later.)
BUT you also need a DETACHED ADVISER (I would be honored to have this position and am more than well equipped to handle it if you so choose.)
FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT: You need to get your student body to stop trying to force the university to change their policy and to drop the charges.
You need to go to court on this. The exposure is much needed. Do not worry; you will never be prosecuted or do any time on this. I know this. There is no jury in the world that would unanimously come together with a guilty vote on this; think about it.
In fact you should encourage the P.D. to go ahead with the charges.
I know right away you may think I am a nut, but the more exposure the better on this. You need to make them fell like the idiots they are, they fucked up and they got caught, now they simply need to pay for the crime.
Hopefully you are still reading. Please bear with me on this. This is more important than you will ever realize.
SECOND AND AGAIN MOST IMPORTANT: Don’t lose the momentum on this thing. Do your best to keep it going. The people you are dealing with are MASTERS at killing momentum. In fact 99% of law enforcement training is based on diffusion of momentum. It is key in killing these issues and pacifying the masses.
Please go into this knowing you are dealing with people that are not only professionals but completely detached from the emotion. This is the clincher. When you are detached and non-emotional it is more than 100 times easier to deal with and diffuse these things. (Make them just go away.)
I know am being very brief and to the point but I am trying to get the keys in your hand so we can move through this quickly and easily.
After all this exact moment is key in the momentum (sorry I keep using that word, but it is the key to this thing.)
THIRD AND AGAIN MOST IMPORTANT: DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF WHAT THIS IS REALLY ABOUT!!!!
Yes freedom of speech and yes the right not to be assaulted by a civilian “law enforcement agency” BUT: YOU HIT THEM EXACTLY WHERE IT HURTS MY FRIEND.
You brought up the Bones and the cloud of Politics (funny the word politics is Latin for many blood-sucking insects).
You asked the question in a public forum in what just happened to be the right place and right time THE QUESTION that 10’s of millions of us out here have been literally dying to ask our entire miserable existences. YOU DID IT.
So in keeping with the need to keep this timely I am going to leave you here. (There is much more). But please deeply consider this letter and these points. And please seriously consider (and hopefully act on the Jewish Lawyer and having myself as an adviser; I would be willing to fly out with a small team if need be.)
LASTLY; BREATHE, STAY GROUNDED, DON’T LOSE TRACK OF THE ULTIMATE GOAL, MOVE LIKE A BLACK CAT THRU A DARK ALLEY.
