Last year our CEO, Sam Tarantino sat in the audience at the P2P Media Summit and listened intently as each speaker methodically made their way through the laundry list of buzzwords that had become popular among straight-laced corporate-types. Phrases like, “premium content distribution channel aggregators,” were used like expletives in a South Park episode.
This year is going to be a little different.
A few weeks ago the Distributed Computing Industry Association, the organization putting on the P2P Media Summit, contacted Sam and asked if he would mind speaking and being a part of a discussion panel. So on June 11, Sam will travel to Las Angeles and deliver the Grooveshark gospel to the huddled masses. Sam will also be part of a discussion panel titled, “Advancement - Creating the Commercial P2P Ecosystem.”
Sam will also be meeting with several music labels while in L.A. to try and garner even more licensing rights to add to Groovehshark’s ever-growing, legal, DRM-free music catalog.
