Sharing Music

Nathan Thompson April 4th, 2006

Once you’ve installed Sharkbyte, sharing your music on Grooveshark is as simple as choosing the folders or files you’d like to add to your library.

1.Click the Library tab
2.Under “Where is your music” select the add a folder button
3.Choose the folder or files you’d like to share
4.Select apply

  1. Where’s the Terms of Service at? Why don’t I see this picture’s program running on my screen? Am I asking the right questions?

  2. Ya, I am having the same problem, when I double click on the icon or right click it I am not getting that screen or getting any options pertaining to that screen.

  3. i get alot of failed transfers in my upload list!

  4. Same problem as Hansel — no Sharkbyte window ever appears, other than the login or preference screen (accessed via a small icon in the menubar, on Mac OS 10.4). I quit and restart the app several times, but the website continues to ask me to start Sharkbyte.

  5. @ramon1986 Check out this blog post I wrote, explaining the Failed Uploads issue, and giving a bit of background information: http://www.grooveshark.com/blog/2008/05/29/thats-weird-my-downloads-keep-failing/

@Mark It’s hard for me to know exactly what’s going on just from the comment, but if you shoot me an e-mail, I’d be more than happy to take a look and get everything sorted out for you. Hope to hear from you!

    Thanks guys,
    Ben

  6. i need some help i need to know how to upload songs
the songs are in the library but is not uploading

  7. I’m having the same problem as Dustin. I’ve checkmarked certain songs in my library and hit “apply”, but I don’t see any activity in the upload window. Nothing. Blank. When I check the songs at beta.grooveshark.com the song is listed but the play button is grayed out. I’m a noob at this, so what am I doing wrong?
